What we collect, what we don't.

What we collect

• Anonymous usage events. Step transitions, calculation snapshots (totals + hours), share actions, preset selections. Each event is tagged with a random session ID generated locally on your device — never tied to your identity.
• Email + optional name. Only when you explicitly submit one via "Email me the quote". Used to send you the PDF and (potentially, in the future) occasional pricing insights you can opt out of.
• Anonymous heatmaps + session recordings via Microsoft Clarity. Captures where you tap and how you scroll. Form-input text (your email, your URL paste, your brief content) is masked by default — Clarity sees that you typed something, not what. Recordings expire after 30 days. You can opt out by enabling Do Not Track in your browser, or with any Clarity-blocking extension.
• IP-derived signals. We hash your IP (SHA-256) and use the hash for rate limiting on AI endpoints and to link multiple email submissions from the same network. Raw IPs are never stored. Geo (country, region, city) is read from edge headers and saved on event rows for aggregate analysis only.
• Briefs and pasted URLs. When you upload a creative brief or paste a project URL, we store the parsed content along with the scope we inferred from it. We use this in aggregate to make scope inference smarter and to understand what kinds of work people are pricing. Individual briefs are never shared or attributed.

What we don't collect

• No tracking cookies.
• No third-party advertising pixels.
• No IP address storage.
• No browser fingerprinting.
• No social-media auto-share trackers.

The session ID lives in your browser's localStorage. Clearing site data wipes it, and you'll get a fresh one on next visit.

Why we collect it

To make the calculator better. The events tell us where users drop off — which inputs cause friction, which steps confuse people, whether the running total helps or distracts. With that data we can remove dead ends instead of guessing at them.

Emails are stored so we can send you the quote you asked for. We don't share, sell, or rent them. Ever.

Where it's stored

Supabase Postgres, US region. Encrypted at rest. The events stream is append-only — we don't mutate or enrich historical events.

Your rights

Want your email, session events, or submitted briefs deleted? Email webflowcalculator@gmail.com with the subject "Deletion request" — we'll delete on receipt and confirm within a few business days. Submitted briefs are retained for 24 months by default unless you ask sooner.
